Today, Saturday November 9th, 2019, was the campaign launch day for the new Labour candidate for Cities of London and Westminster, Gordon Nardell, and I was delighted to be there to support this!
Shami Chakrabarti and Kier Starmer were there to welcome him too, along with many hundreds of campaigners braving the cold (and later, the rain) on this exciting day.
Cities of London and Westminster has been a Tory held seat since its existence, its most recent incumbent being Mark Field (before his having to stand down due to his very public mistreatment of a female Greenpeace activist).
However, in the 2017 General Election, our then Labour candidate, Ibrahim Dogus, reduced Mark Field's margin to only a 3,148 majority, and we believe that with Gordon Nardell on our team, we can actually win this seat for Labour!
Change IS possible, but only if enough of us vote to bring it about.
