On September the 18th, I stood with Cities of London and Westminster Labour to call on Westminster Council to declare a climate emergency, and am very pleased to announce that they joined other councils across the country in backing our call.
Westminster Labour have been lobbying Westminster City Council for months, so the Green Paper, set out by Pancho Lewis, Shadow Cabinet Member for the Environment, is a huge step in our fight to reverse the damaging effects of climate change before they become irreversible.
The Green Paper sets out our ideas on extending the provision of green energy, creating green jobs, and tackling the dangerous levels of toxic air quality in Westminster, and also throughout London and the UK.
